Dates and time zones in InfoPath 2010
Learn how you can use a date and time picker control in InfoPath 2010 to specify time zone information for dates.
While the InfoPath user interface allows users to only enter date and times that are local to them, you can use rules, code, or even a SharePoint Designer workflow to set the value of a date and time picker control to a date and time for which time zone information has been specified.
The InfoPath 2010 video below explains how the date and time picker works when you set its value to a local date and time, or a date and time that contains time zone information.
Note that when filling out a form in InfoPath Filler 2010, the time zone information of the computer on which the form is being filled out is used to perform any time zone corrections for the date and time picker control.
However, when a form is being filled out through SharePoint, the time zone specified in the regional settings of the SharePoint site on which the form is located is used to perform any time zone corrections before displaying dates and times in a date and time picker control.
