This is lesson 4 in the InfoPath training videos series. The InfoPath training videos series is a series of free step-by-step video tutorials that take beginners from knowing nothing about InfoPath to creating form templates in InfoPath.
You can use InfoPath 2007 to create electronic forms that can be filled out either standalone through the InfoPath client application or via a browser as part of SharePoint. The latter requires InfoPath Forms Services to be installed, which can be done by installing Forms Server 2007 or enabling it in SharePoint Enterprise Edition.
You use the InfoPath Designer to create (or design) InfoPath form templates. However, before you can start creating electronic forms using InfoPath, you’ll have to install InfoPath 2007.
In InfoPath 2007, you can add controls, views, and data connections to InfoPath form templates, change form settings, or publish InfoPath form templates.
The preceding video tutorial goes through many of the commonly used functions in InfoPath. Don’t worry if it goes a bit too fast for you, because we’ll be covering and using InfoPath’s functionality more in depth in subsequent tutorials in this InfoPath video training series.
