I just wanted to give you a heads up on the latest changes I’ve been making to the web site. If this is your first time here and you do not know where the web site is located, the address is: http://www.bizsupportonline.net. You can find the list of all of the articles on the web site on the InfoPath Tutorials, Articles, and Solutions page.
Here’s an update on the latest changes…
I’ve started a new series of articles called InfoPath Basics. In these articles, I’ll tackle very basic stuff in InfoPath. I’ve noticed that many of you are just now starting to use InfoPath 2007 and while many questions have already been answered in the InfoPath newsgroup and on the Internet in general, it is still not intuitive enough to pick up InfoPath. Hopefully this article series will help you get up and running quickly with the product.
These articles will not be very long, will deviate from the standard Problem-Solution-Discussion cookbook style I’ve been following for other articles, and will be very targetted to getting one and only one thing done in InfoPath. I hope you enjoy this series, and if you have any questions or feedback, just shoot me an email by leaving a comment.
Next up is the list of articles I’ve published recently and which you may have missed:
- Auto-fill a repeating table with data from a SharePoint list when a row is inserted
- How to add a data connection to a SharePoint list or library in InfoPath
- How to create a class for an InfoPath form
- InfoPath Basics: How to populate an InfoPath form when it is opened/loaded
- InfoPath Basics: Main vs. secondary data sources
- Programmatically delete all of the rows of a repeating table in InfoPath
- Programmatically check whether a value exists in a drop-down list box bound to a SharePoint list using an XPath filter
- Using a Receive data connection in InfoPath to execute an SQL Server stored procedure
As always, if you have an idea for an article or would like to know how to get something done in or with InfoPath, you can contact me via Ask the InfoPath Expert.
