What can you use digital certificates for in InfoPath?
There are two types of digital signing that you can use with InfoPath:
- Signing an InfoPath form template – code signing
- Signing an InfoPath form – data signing
Typically, you would use the first type to give a form template full trust. The second type is used to digitally co- and counter-sign forms, which is the equivalent of signing your name on a hardcopy of a document. Both types require the use of digital certificates.
This MSDN article contains much, if not all, of the information you’ll need to create and use digital certificates in InfoPath.
